International Baccalaureate (IB) Program
Ballantyne Ridge High School is excited to be in the candidacy stage to offer the International Baccalaureate's Middle Years Programme, Diploma Programme, and Career-related Programme.
We expect that the addition of the MYP, DP, and CP will be an integral part of the school community and will assist in shaping the young people who walk through our halls.
We are committed tot he IB's mission of providing rigorous instruction with character development to assist our students in becoming lifelong learners. The IB's focus on developing the whole learner is attractive to us as we build our school's culture.
Ballantyne Ridge High School is a candidate school* for the Middle Years Programme, Diploma Programme and Career-related Programe. The school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy--a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education -- that we believe is important for our students.
*Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: The Primary Years Programme (PYP), The Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.
